Meet Chef Geovanny
Chef Geo brings more than two decades of Chicago hospitality experience and a lifetime of Ecuadorian tradition to the table at Pampamesa. Over the course of his career he has owned and operated bars, nightclubs, and restaurants across the city, honing his craft in kitchens from the city to the suburbs to the heart of Bucktown, where in 2021 he opened the beloved neighborhood spot Le Cafe Station Grill.

From Bucktown to His Roots
At Le Cafe, Chef Geo became known for blending Italian, Latin, and American classics with a family-run warmth that turned first-time visitors into regulars. With Pampamesa, he returns to his roots, celebrating the flavors of Ecuador he grew up with and bringing them to the neighborhood he's served for decades.

The Spirit of the Pampamesa
For Chef Geo, cooking has always been about community — the spirit of the pampamesa itself, the traditional Andean communal feast where food is shared, stories are told, and everyone has a place at the table. Here, the philosophy is simple: love what you do, and share it with the people around you.
